At Redfield Edge, we follow the ‘No Nonsense’ spelling scheme, which involves 5 lessons over 2 weeks, from year upwards. The scheme directly teaches spelling rules linked to the National Curriculum. Each week or two weekly block focuses on a spelling rule which is taught and followed up with activities to consolidate this learning. Your child’s teacher will also send home spellings linked to this spelling rule for children to learn and practice ready for their spelling test.
There are lots of ways that No Nonsense Suggests the children can practise their spellings. See below for some examples along with our weekly spellings look, cover, write, check sheet too:
Punctuation and Grammar:
Punctuation and Grammar can be a complete minefield of unknown words, so we have found a few resources to help with home learning and general PaG revision:

(All children from Year 2 upwards have a login for SPAG.com which was sent home in October/November)
