Learning Support Assistant
Year 3 in class support
Roles & Responsibilities
I was born in Northampton and grew up in Milton Keynes. I moved to the Lake District to study for a degree in Outdoor Studies. Following this I spent a couple of years working in Mid- Wales at an Outdoor Education Centre before moving to North Wales to study for a PGCE in Outdoor Activities. On completing my PGCE I have spent 10 years teaching at an Outdoor Education Centre owned by Coventry City Council.
In 2014 my family and I moved to Bristol allowing our 2 sons to access an English education. My husband is originally from Oldland common and attended Redfield Edge as a child himself.
At weekends we enjoy spending time as a family. We particularly enjoy spending time in the countryside either on foot or on our bikes and visiting local cafés for tea and cake.
I believe that every child is special and should be given every opportunity to succeed. By providing an environment which exposes the child to challenges both inside and outside of the classroom in a fun and supportive manner, the child will develop a sense of respect, responsibility and resilience which will equip them to become successful in their adult lives.
