EYFS Class Teacher
Role & Responsibility
I was born and raised in a local village in Bristol and when it came to going to University I did not go far. I did my undergraduate degree in Early Years Education at Bath Spa University and through this was given the opportunity to be part of and teach in some amazing schools. Once I finished my degree, I took some time to try out different occupations and in the summer travelled to Maine in America to teach Cheerleading to 7-15 year olds. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to see some beautiful sights all around the world and cannot wait to share this with my classes.
Once I came home from America I got a job as a teaching assistant in a Reception class which lead me to apply for my Postgraduate of PGCE: Early Years Specialism. I have always loved working within education and with a family of teachers I have had some fantastic opportunities and experience. I cannot wait to continue this journey at Redfield Edge Primary.
‘Today, you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is your than you!’ EYFS is a beautiful place where children get a chance to be themselves and explore subjects and different topics in fun, exciting and engaging ways. My promise is that I will go with the children’s interests and make their start at Redfield Edge one to remember.
